SCULPT

This project started out as an ECE 4760 (Microcontrollers) project. After the semester ended, I continued working on it on my own to see it all the way through.

Result

SCULPT can carve! It takes a long time to carve an image (avg ~5 hours) due to mechanical and controls I could improve on.

I had to redesign mechanical structure, change some electrical hardware, and do a rehaul of the firmware since the last end point. Learned a lot!

End point from ECE 4760

This project started out as an ECE 4760 (Microcontrollers course) project. The only requirement was that it use a PIC32 microcontroller.

I designed all the mechanical and electrical parts of the project. My friend Jared wrote the initial firmware. Our detailed writeup can be found here.
