Research with the Organic Robotics Lab (ORL)

For more information on what the lab does, check out its website. In short, we combine soft materials with robotics to create new structures. I have been with the lab since January 2017.

I have helped design, print, and conduct experiments for a 3D-printed prosthetic hand demonstrating a new elastometric passive transmission. This project uses parts printed with a Carbon3D M1 printer.

This past school year (2018-2019), I helped make a testing rig for a 3D-printed block with sensors. I hope to continue when I return from my internship Spring 2020.
